Sisterhood Health Forum Success

Mon 07 Dec 2009 14:09:13 | 0 comments

November and December is the busiest time in the office due to end of the year deductibles. This is also the highest cancellation time due to patient’s holiday plans and the flu. The office is booked well into January, but we have been very diligent about using a cancellation list.

This week I’ve already seen two women who were at The Sisterhood Health Forum in October, usually this takes some time.

One woman I saw is a candidate for Medtronic’s InterStim Therapy, her sister brought her to the Sisterhood Health Forum. She has been taking Vesicare for years, and realized when she was sitting at the forum; I was talking about her issues. She knew right then she needed to seek further treatment.

Although she is on medication, she still leaks all night long. Every night she has to prepare the bed with pads so her husband doesn’t get wet. I’m happy to say soon she is on the road to living leak free.

Another woman I saw, only leaks when she dances and does jumping jacks. During the forum she knew this wasn’t something she was going to deal with for the rest of her life. Her kids are in college and she and her husband go dancing every weekend. Soon she will be dancing and jumping leak free.

Glad the forum helped these women realize they don’t have to live like this.
