There is no right or wrong way to grieve. All your feelings are normal. It is helpful, however, to know that human grief is a process that often follows a healing pattern.

Dear NoName,
I am so sorry for your loss. My only child, my beautiful girl, was killed in a motorcycle accident almost five years ago. She was nineteen years old, one week from finishing her first year of college, and every day the loss is like a knife in my heart.
Here's something I have learned in the last five years as I've wandered from therapist to support group to therapist and back: When you lose a child - especially in a sudden and traumatic way - none of the 'rules of grief and loss' apply.
Please give yourself permission to feel your loss as you need to and never measure yourself or your feelings against some artificial time-line of grief.
My heart is with you.
