For type 2 Diabetics. A new version of the Drug, Byetta is in process of being approved. It will be called Bydureon, which is essentially a Long Acting Version of Byetta (Exenatide) that will only require a once a week injection. I've been on Byetta as a monotherapy for about 4 years with very good results.
So far it's approved with some remaining clarification needed on labeling and manufacturing.
