Eating clean is not a fad. In fact, it dates back to the very beginning of the human race. It is how we were always meant to eat. It is such a simple way to think: "Clean" foods are foods at their most natural state. Every food starts out clean. When eaten, a clean food does the body nothing but good. Loaded with vitamins and minerals and nutrients, a clean food is metabolized (used) by the body in perfect order. "Unclean" foods are products such as artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, and chemicals. They bog the body down, causing weight gain, headaches, depression, obeisity, ADHD, you name it...chemicals can cause it. Try this for 3 months: Eat 90% clean. If you'd like more specific definition on clean foods, or have a question or comment, please feel free to message me. I have been eating clean for 5 years and lost 30 pounds in 3 months, along with keeping a very trim and energetic figure ever since. I decided that EVERYONE should be able to be as happy as I became after realizing how truly simple health can be. <3 and hugs <3

Do you end up eating more foods "raw"- I have been considering trying the raw food deit- but maybe clean is more my speed. I know veggies loose nutrition, but warm soup and grilled chicken just speak to me- you know?

Thanks Matt, it's good to be here to share WIK! Megan, I try to eat an many raw vegetable and fruits as possible, but LOVE warm foods just like you! what I tend to do is cook veggies just til a touch tender...never longer than 10 minutes on medium-high heat. An example: in a small saucepan, heat about 1 cup water, sprinkle of salt, pepper and thyme, and 1/2 tablespoon olive oil on medium high heat till simmering. Add 2 servings of asparagus, cover, lower heat to medium and cook 5 minutes. This turns into a delicious dish, and since it's covered most of the nutrients will remain in that little bit of water we cooked it in. Soups can be cooked the same way, heating the water/broth first, then adding all the veggies, cover and cook just till the veggies are tender. Hope this helps!
