My 79 year old Dad fell in February and dealing with his recovery has been a new experience.  Immediately his entire mental and physical  health began to change.  Suddenly we were faced with finding the right Nursing Facility that could take him on short notice. Now months later and a second surgery, we have moved him into yet another "home" as he goes though physical therapy.

I have encountered many stages of grief on his part as he has adjusted from being the father figure, to someone needed a lot of love and support.  I am now the one he leans on instead of the other way around.
