A good place to start would be to ask your doctor about single port laparoscopic hysterectomy? I'm never offended if a patient asks for a second opinion. Also, in this day and age, the internet can be a valuable tool for research. Search for the common medical terms: hysterectomy and single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS), LESS (Laparo-endoscopic Single Site surgery) or single port laparoscopy. Once you find a doctor, ask the questions I discussed in the video above. Right now, there aren't docs in every city that do this yet.. but it's coming. We train more doctors almost every month.
